Brendan Talbot began his coaching career at his alma mater, Quinnipiac University, in 2003 as a graduate assistant and in 2005 he was named Quinnipiac’s defensive coordinator. Coach Talbot then took his game to the Connecticut high school ranks to coach New Fairfield High School, where he is employed.  He was the head coach at New Milford HS from 2008-2013 earning a career record of 60-36 (.625%). In Coach Talbot’s six years at the helm, New Milford won two SWC Large School championships (2009 & 2010) and qualified for the SWC and CIAC playoffs each year.  During that time, New Milford ranked in the top 25 in the State of Connecticut in three of Talbot’s six years (2008, 2009 & 2013). In 2014, Coach Talbot returned to college lacrosse as the defensive coordinator at Western Connecticut State University before accepting the head coaching position in the summer of 2015 at St. Joseph’s High School where in just his 4th season guided the team to back-to-back 2018 and 2019 Class ‘S’ State championships!! Coach Talbot lives in Danbury with his wife Jacqueline and his three children; Luke, Cara, and Ryan.
