Roy Colsey, Coach for the lacrosse National All Star Games

Roy Colsey is one of the greatest lacrosse players to ever play the sport. He is currently the Head Coach at Ridgefield HS, the 2018 Class L State Champions. Last year he was named the 2018 Class L Coach of the Year and the Gatorade CT Coach of the Year. He has also coached Ridgefield to the 2009 FCIAC Championship and the 2011 CIAC Championship. He began coaching at Ridgefield HS in 2009.

As a player, Coach Colsey spent 11 years as a pro Indoor Lacrosse player in the NLL and 7 years as a pro Outdoor Lacrosse Player in the MLL. He also was on the 1992 U-19 Team USA and the 2006 USA National Team. He played college at Syracuse University where he was a 2x National Champion, 4x All-American, and the 1995 Midfielder of the Year.

Roy grew up in Yorktown where he was a 2x All-American and a 2x State Champion.

This year he will be coaching the 2019 US Indoor Lacrosse U-20 Team as their Head Coach in the IIJL World Championships. He also has been selected as the 2019 Under Armour CONNY Region Highlight Team.
