Aedan Herman, Mad Dog
I played four years of high school lacrosse at Colonial Forge High School in Virginia where I hold the school record for goals, assists, and points. I was selected as First-Team All-District three times, Twice named All-Region, and was the Area, District, and Regional Player of the Year as well as All-American and All Metro (DC/MD/VA) as a senior.
I accepted a scholarship to play Division 1 Lacrosse at Marist College where I was a starting offensive midfielder for four years. After graduating, I moved to NYC where I had a corporate gig but helped grow the game on the side. I coached Patriot Lacrosse for Chuck Ruebling which is based out of northern New Jersey where I mentored and coached 25+ current Division 1 lacrosse players in just two years.
I then joined the Army and was an Infantry Officer for 4 years. I then got out and took a job in aerospace and moved to Manhattan Beach, CA! Upon moving out west I took over as West Elite director and LA Co-Director and am the Head Coach of Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes, CA.
I’ve been a part of the Mad Dog family for a year now and can’t tell you enough how fired up I am to lead this program. Like any job, people make the organization, and having been involved with several top notch lacrosse organizations, I can assure you that Mad Dog is the most family oriented team that I’ve ever been a part of. Our staff is composed of individuals who care more about developing the person than the player and the energy and passion exemplified from each coach is unparalleled. We truly believe that our attitude as a staff has significantly and positively impacted the product that has been displayed on the field in the past, and we look forward to continuing to push our guys and demand the most out of them.
